The Mayor of Kavarna Municipality Elena Baltadzhieva was part of the Bulgarian delegation to the 5th Congress of Local Self-Government within the framework of the Three Seas Initiative. During the forum, the 3Seas Tourism Network was established - a joint initiative between the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria, the Lublin Voivodeship and other partners.

The aim of the initiative is mutual support in the development of cultural and eco-tourism, encouraging the exchange of good practices and supporting the creation of common tourism products for the region. An important emphasis is also the digitalization of tourism services, which will improve the competitiveness of the sector.

“The Three Seas Initiative is a key mechanism for the development of tourism through better connectivity, investments in infrastructure and modern marketing strategies. Bulgaria will continue to work actively to establish the region as an attractive tourist destination,” said the head of the Bulgarian delegation, Deputy Minister of Tourism Irena Georgieva, during the event.

The Bulgarian delegation took part in discussions on the economic and infrastructure development of the region.
