The National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria organizes introductory meetings for the newly elected mayors and chairmen of municipal councils. From January 9 to 31, regional meetings will be held in the six planning regions, where nominations for members of the Board of Directors of NSORB will be made.

The first introductory meeting is for the municipalities from the Southwest Planning Region and will take place on January 9 and 10, 2024 in Sofia for the municipalities from the Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Kyustendil and Pernik regions. Among the topics that will be discussed by the new municipal leaders are the modern requirements for management skills and the opportunities for developing partnerships, the prospective tasks for the local government during the mandate, the role and place of citizens in the processes of policy planning and decision-making, and the support of the NAMRB for teams of municipalities and municipal councils.

On January 11 and 12, the forums for the municipalities of the South Central planning region are coming up, on January 16 and 17 - for the North-West, on January 23 and 24 - for the South-East, on January 25 and 26 - for the North-East and on February 12 and 13 - for North Central Planning District.
