The Minister of Innovation and Growth, Alexander Pulev, invites mayors of municipalities and regional governors to participate in the National Meeting "Industrial Zones - Growth for Municipalities and Regions". The forum will take place on April 10 (Monday) 2023 from 14:00 to 16:00 at Sofia Tech Park, John Atanasov Hall and is dedicated to the new procedure for the development of industrial zones in the country, which will be financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan under MIR.

The funds under the measure are earmarked for activities in four directions: supply infrastructure, internal infrastructure for the zone, construction of laboratories and test bases and buildings for scientific and research activity, as well as for the construction of eco-infrastructure /for example, charging stations for electric cars/.

During the event, experts from various structures within the system of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth will present the possibilities for supporting the regions and municipalities in the upcoming projects.

The Fund of Funds, the Bulgarian Development Bank, the General Directorate "European Funds and Competitiveness" and the Directorate "Instruments for Economic Growth" are also invited to participate.

Atanas Pekanov, the Deputy Prime Minister for the management of European funds, will also take part in the forum.
