Vratsa will once again become a stage for Italian music, cuisine and culture

Vratsa Municipality will once again bring together lovers of Italian music, drinks and food with the initiative “Bongiorno, Vratsa”. For the first time, the event was organized at the end of last summer and aroused great interest among residents and guests of the city. This year, the thematic day will be on June 14 and under the title “The Taste of Italy”. The holiday will once again begin with Zumba, and for children – with Italian fairy tales, explained to BTA the chief expert “Culture” in the Municipality of Vratsa Radosveta Krumova. The stage will be in the park behind the monument to Hristo Botev.

“Last year we presented “Pinocchio”, this year it will be “Tales on the Phone” by Gianni Rodari, but to continue the tradition, we will have a real Pinocchio with whom children will be able to talk, take pictures, there will be fun games, a fun quiz. We will try to make games with traditional Italian products such as lemons and spaghetti,” Krumova explained.

Traders will be located in the central square, offering gelato, beer, Aperol, pizzas and various Italian desserts. There will be presentations of various Italian alcoholic beverages, traditional painting with a glass of wine, and in the evening on the water mirror there will be a performance of songs by Adriano Celentano and Italian music.

“The Taste of Italy” will also include over 40 establishments and restaurants that will prepare Italian desserts, coffees and dishes. “We have asked the establishments to play Italian music and to hold a raffle with the receipts, like last year, and they will decide what prize they will give,” Krumova explained, adding that Italian flags will be placed in front of all participating establishments.

The Italian Days will kick off on June 12 at the Piazza Italia restaurant, where five chefs from Hell's Kitchen will gather to prepare an Italian menu.
