From 4 to 6 September, Vidin will once again become a stage for traditions, music and dance with the seventh edition of the International Folklore Festival “The Blue Danube.” The event will bring together performers from Bulgaria and abroad in the Danube Park, where they will showcase the richness of folklore heritage over three days and transform the city into a meeting place for different cultures.

The festival is organised by Vidin Municipality and Event Masters.

Visitors will enjoy a diverse programme featuring performances by amateur folklore groups, concerts by renowned artists, creative workshops, open-air folk dance events, puppet performances for children and a variety of accompanying activities.

Traditional crafts enthusiasts will have the opportunity to visit a fair offering handmade souvenirs, jewellery, home décor items and authentic works inspired by Bulgarian folklore. Visitors will also be able to sample a wide selection of farm and artisan products presented by local producers and dairies.

Over the years, the International Folklore Festival “The Blue Danube” has established itself as one of the most important cultural events in Vidin’s annual calendar and as a gathering place for people from different countries united by their love of folklore, traditions and cultural heritage.

Festival events will take place in front of the stage of the Nikola Petrov Art Gallery in Danube Park, and admission to all events will be free of charge.
