Possibilities for deepening cooperation in the fields of economy, tourism, agriculture, culture and trade between Bulgaria and Turkey were discussed at a meeting by the mayor of Aytos municipality Vasil Edrev and the consul general of Turkey in Burgas Tolga Orkun.
The two countries united around the idea of working more actively for the implementation of Turkish investments in our country and in particular on the territory of the Aytos Municipality. "Investors from Turkey are interested in Bulgaria. We will continue to work in this direction. And since Aytos is a region for which I am responsible, we will continue to work for Aytos," said the Turkish Consul General. Orkun explained that before officially assuming his position, he visited Aytos and expressed his impressions of the city.
"We want to develop our good relations and cooperation between two friendly nations. I am responsible for ten Bulgarian cities, and all of them tell me that Aytos is developing at a level," Orkun also said. In his words, Mayor Edrev works for the city's residents and for their better way of life.
The meeting was also attended by the deputy mayor of Aytos Kaloyan Kaloyanov, representatives of the city's municipal administration, as well as the delegation led by the Turkish consul general in Burgas, the municipal administration informed.
The Turkish city of Kirklareli and Burgas will promote their tourism opportunities through a common electronic platform. Representatives of the two settlements also agreed on the development of common tourist products, which will aim to extend the tourist season.
