On the eve of Independence Day (September 21), precisely at 9:00 PM, the Boris Denev Art Gallery will transform into an artist’s canvas, where dozens of lasers, hundreds of beams, and three-dimensional mapping will narrate the grandeur of the Second Bulgarian Empire.
Projected onto the gallery and encompassing the Monument of the Asenevtsi and the entire surrounding space, the spectacular 3D Mapping Show “Tsarevgrad Tarnov” intertwines history, architecture, original music, fireworks, and magical lights, guiding viewers through the rise of the Asenevtsi dynasty, the glory of Tsarevgrad Tarnov, and the path to Bulgarian independence.
3D mapping is a multimedia technique that precisely “paints” light onto architectural forms. Every contour, window, and stone detail of the building becomes part of a dynamic spectacle – the story is not simply projected, it comes alive before the audience’s eyes.
The location is no coincidence – the magical show transforms the old city into a natural amphitheater, allowing residents and visitors of the historic capital to witness the light spectacle from all vantage points overlooking the Asenevtsi Monument.
