For the sixth consecutive year, residents and guests of the village of Dalboki will enjoy the Pumpkin Festival, which will take place on October 18, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM. The event is organized by the community center Razvitie – 1878 with the support of the Municipality of Stara Zagora.

The program includes songs, dances, fun games, and a children’s workshop, as well as culinary contests and pumpkin-based treats. This year, visitors will also have the opportunity to try the traditional pumpkin dessert – rachel.

During the festival, guests will learn more about growing and storing different types of pumpkins, as well as their nutritional and medicinal properties. The organizers aim to spark interest in cultivating the orange fruit and its diverse uses in cooking.

Participation in the contests is free and open to all ages. Both folklore groups and individual performers can take part.

The musical program will ensure a festive atmosphere for all attendees. Performers on stage will include singer Gergana Gospodinova and bagpiper Slavi Slavov.

Pumpkin enthusiasts will be able to compete for the largest pumpkin, the “Most Beautiful Textile Pumpkin,” and in the culinary contest Pumpkin Delights. Special guest chef Roni Kirkova will demonstrate the preparation of various pumpkin dishes and serve as a jury member.
