The town hall of the village of Ravno Pole in the municipality of Elin Pelin built and put into operation a solar power plant for its own consumption. It aims to cover their energy needs, and the project is part of the municipality's strategy to improve energy efficiency on the territory of the country. The solar plant was built by the company "VVT Engineering" and all the materials, as well as the construction of the plant, were donated by the company, which aims to promote good practices in the field.
"One of the good practices in Europe is to install solar power plants on the roof areas of municipal building sites. In this way, they save on their electricity costs and can direct budgets to other important activities. We built a solar power plant as a donation to the Municipality of Elin Pelin and we encourage other municipalities to take an example of this good practice in order to achieve sustainability in terms of meeting energy needs", commented Dr. Eng. Veselin Todorov - founder of "VVT Engineering " and chairman of the Association "Solar Academy Bulgaria".
Solar energy can help municipalities save money on their electricity bills by generating energy from a renewable source. It is a clean and renewable source of energy that produces no harmful emissions, thus municipalities can reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future.
"The Municipality of Elin Pelin works closely with industry leaders who enforce the rules of professionalism in the industry. VVT Engineering, with its support, is changing the living environment of the residents of the village of Ravno Pole and the local community. The RES installation will contribute to the reduction of the energy costs of public buildings and in this way a resource will be released for other activities useful to the public and citizens," said the mayor of Elin Pelin Municipality, Mr. Ivaylo Simeonov. He emphasized that this type of good practice could set a good example and attract investments to the territory of the municipality, which in turn will lead to an increase in jobs and better economic development in the area.
