Municipalities today

A working meeting was held in Cherven Bryag Municipality between the Mayor of Cherven Bryag Municipality, Atanas Atanasov, and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Italy in Plovdiv, Giuseppe De Francesco.

The meeting, held on 15 May, took place in a spirit of constructive dialogue, mutual respect, and a shared vision for the development of international cooperation and the sustainable development of the municipality.

The participants discussed opportunities for future partnership in the fields of economy, investment, education, culture, sports, and youth policies. Particular emphasis was placed on the development of the industrial zone, attracting new investors, and creating sustainable conditions for job creation in the region.

Special attention was also paid to the municipality’s potential in the areas of manufacturing, agriculture, and livestock farming, as well as opportunities for cooperation between local businesses and Italian companies interested in developing activities in Bulgaria.

Mayor Atanas Atanasov presented the main priorities of Cherven Bryag Municipality related to supporting education, sports, and the active participation of young people in public life. The discussion also addressed the need to improve the infrastructure and equipment of specialized educational institutions, as well as opportunities for developing vocational education through partnerships with businesses and the exchange of good European practices.

During the conversation, the topic of establishing closer ties between Cherven Bryag Municipality and an Italian municipality with similar economic and geographical characteristics was also raised. The idea is to create sustainable partnerships and mechanisms for the exchange of experience in areas such as local economic development, tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing, as well as the implementation of joint initiatives and projects of mutual interest.

For his part, Giuseppe De Francesco expressed his positive impressions of Cherven Bryag and stated his willingness to assist in establishing future international contacts, initiatives, and partnerships.
