The second edition of the “Come (Back) to Blagoevgrad” initiative is kicking off, and it will take place over the course of three days.

The Municipality of Blagoevgrad launched this initiative last year as part of its plan to develop the regional center into an attractive place for living, career growth, and business.

The three-day program will begin with a business expo, where local companies will showcase their activities and present internship and career opportunities for young people.

A discussion forum titled “Why Blagoevgrad” will also take place, focusing on the personal stories of families who have returned to live there.

The forum will feature six thematic panels covering various aspects of life in Blagoevgrad — from housing and career opportunities to healthcare, culture, and the municipality's development vision as outlined by the mayor’s team.

The forum will conclude with a panel titled “Blagoevgrad: A Plan for the Future,” led by Mayor Metodi Baikushev himself. He will present upcoming projects and current economic data about the municipality and the region.

The event will also be streamed online via the official YouTube channel of the Municipality of Blagoevgrad, so that people who cannot attend in person can still take part.

After the discussions, participants will have the opportunity to meet and talk in an informal setting at the municipality-organized party “Meeting at Home,” featuring a special music program provided by local restaurants and businesses.

The three-day program of the “Come (Back) to Blagoevgrad” initiative includes a variety of events such as eco-hikes, sports games and entertainment, concerts, exhibitions, and more.
