Alongside the language classes, the program also includes insight into Chinese culture. Scheduled activities feature a lecture on the eight types of Chinese cuisine and a workshop titled “Chinese New Year traditions and superstitions.” Learners of Chinese characters and the language of Confucius will also have the chance to try cooking Chinese dumplings a culinary symbol of the New Year’s feast.
At the end of the summer school, participants will receive their certificates during a ceremony held as part of the Momchilovtsi Yogurt Festival, taking place from August 29 to 31. Among the guests at the festival will be representatives from the Chinese company Bright Dairy, which successfully introduced dairy products under the “Momchilovtsi” brand in the Chinese market, Surkova added. The festival program also includes dairy product exhibitions, artisan crafts, art displays, and concerts.
