Ruse: municipality is ready to will use the entire volunteer resource in the Covid-19 crises



Ruse Municipality has a volunteer unit of 42 people who have undergone specialized training and are equipped with protective equipment, said the head of “Public Order and Security” Department of the Municipality Mr. Spassimir Dimitrov. They are prepared and available upon request. The local organization of the Bulgarian Red Cross reported that they also have more than 20 people who are fully prepared to work on the spot.
On their own initiative more than 20 citizens expressed their willingness to work as volunteers during the state of emergency. Some of them have offered technical support, others are ready to contribute with their professional skills. Deputy Mayor Mrs. Zlatomira Stefanova and her team keep a register of volunteers and will use their capabilities in case of need. The mobilization of volunteers on the ground is part of the measures to combat COVID-19 virus. The National Volunteer Headquarters will be headed by the Director of Fire Protection and Emergency, Commissioner Nikolay Nikolov.
