Ruse: drones will guarding the village areas

Ruse Municipality decided to introduce drones in the efforts to safeguard villa areas near the town. Mayor Pencho Milkov explained that the municipality had sought assistance from the University of Ruse, which provided the drones for the purpose. He said that during the tours of the specialized teams an operator of the drone will be involved to manage the unmanned aircraft. These are specialized industrial drones equipped with thermal cameras. They were bought under different projects of the University of Ruse and are part of a system for early detection of fires, which is currently under elaboration. The unmanned aerial vehicles are resistant to rain, fog and wind, but up to a certain speed. With one battery, the drone can fly up to 40 minutes. It is possible to set certain temperature ranges to isolate them from the rest of the images. That's how people will be detected.
